The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced today that they have named Howard Theberge as the Thunder’s Athletic Therapist. Theberge joins Head Coach Cail MacLean and Equipment Manager Brian Sersch on the Thunder’s hockey operations staff.
Theberge, 25, joins the Thunder from the Providence Sky Chiefs of the American Basketball Association, where he served as the Head Athletic Trainer. While in Rhode Island, Theberge also served as an Athletic Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach at Northeast Sports Training. Theberge has a year of ECHL experience with the Elmira Jackals, where he served as the Head Athletic Trainer during the 2013-14 season. The Portland, ME native also served an Athletic Training Student with the Portland Pirates of the AHL during the 2011-12 season. Theberge will handle all day-to-day medical and training needs with the Thunder.
