Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Flames announced today that they have signed forwards Lucas Bloodoff and Nick Huard to Professional Try Out contracts (PTO). The Flames have also released winger Christophe Lalonde and goaltender Jacob Deserres from their Amateur Try Outs (ATO).
Bloodoff, 25, is making his first appearance in the AHL after spending the season with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. With the Jackals, Bloodoff collected 22 points (11-11-22) and 77 penalty minutes and was teammates with fellow Adirondack Flame Taylor Stefishen. Bloodoff previously spent four seasons with St. Mary’s University (AUS), where he collected 99 points (47-52-99). The Castlegar, BC native also spent four seasons playing for Adirondack Head Coach Ryan Huska with the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL, where he collected 124 points (64-60-124) from 2006-2010.
Huard is also making his first appearance in the AHL, coming off of a 13 game stint with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. Huard, who collected six points (3-3-6) in his time with the Cyclones, finished off a three-year career with the University of Guleph, where he led the team in scoring in both the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. Huard scored his first career professional goal on March 21, 2014 against the South Carolina Stingrays.
Lalonde was held scoreless in two games with the Flames this past weekend. The 21-year old Quebec native had previously attended Adirondack Flames training camp in September. Deserres appeared in one game with the Flames, where he went 0-1, with an .813 save percentage and a 4.64 goals against average.
