ADIRONDACK THUNDER 2015-16 SEASON TICKETS ON SALE NOW

Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced their season ticket plans today for the 2015-16 season, which will begin play in October, 2015.

Adirondack Flames full season, 22 and 12 game plan holders have first rights to retain their seats from the 2014-15 American Hockey League season, beginning today through Friday, April 24, 2015, with a deposit of just $50 per seat. Current season ticket holders have until April 24 to guarantee their Flames seat locations for the 2015-16 Thunder season. Any seat locations not reserved by April 24 will be released to the general public for sale to new season ticket holders on Monday, April 27.

With the lease signed by the new management of the Glens Falls Civic Center, the Adirondack Civic Center Coalition, season ticket holders will, for the first time, be required to pay a $1 facility fee per ticket that goes directly to building operation.

The benefits of being a Thunder season ticket holder include a savings of 27 percent to 42 percent off of box office pricing. All full season, 22 game and 12 game Thunder season ticket holders are entitled to unlimited unused ticket exchange, playoff ticket priority and the ability to buy tickets all season long at the discounted season ticket price. Full season and 22 game plan holders also earn two (2) Bring-A-Friend vouchers, per seat, that are good for any regular season home game during the 2015-16 season, in addition to a meet-and-greet event with the players and staff at the Great Escape Lodge. Full season ticket holders will also receive exclusive benefits, including a free line-up card and game notes, as well as a 10% merchandise discount, the chance to buy a membership in the “Thunder’s Mug Club” for five (5) dollars and the Thunder’s pre-season game included at no cost.

The Thunder Season Ticket Pricing for next season is as follows:

The Thunder also announced that Flex Packs for the 2015-16 season are on sale as well, ranging from $10 per game for youth to $17.75 per game for adults. These prices do not include a 7% sales tax or $1 facility fee, per ticket, per game.

“We looked carefully at where we stood compared to other AHL teams in terms of our average price,” Adirondack Flames President Brian Petrovek said. “We determined that this season, with an average price of $14.71, we are 21% below the average price in the AHL. We then looked at the ticket prices of all ECHL teams using our current AHL pricing. The average price of a Thunder ticket next season will be $15.61 (not including sales tax or the GFCC $1 facility fee), which will place the Thunder at the ECHL's projected league average for the 2015-16 season. It was important to us, in correcting our pricing that we remain affordable and align with industry averages. Looking at our adult and youth pricing combined, making sure we continued to offer affordable pricing to a ‘family of four,’ we feel that our pricing structure puts proper value on every seat and makes Thunder hockey a great value.”

The Thunder increased prices on just four ticket types by over a dollar. The average price increase was $0.85. Of the four Youth prices offered (full season, 22 game, 12 game and flex pack), three of the four prices were reduced; the only Youth product that experienced an increase was the full season ticket plan price, which was a 50 cent per ticket increase, from $8.50 to $9.00 per ticket. Thunder youth tickets are offered in every section of the building to children 14 and under, continuing to make Thunder hockey affordable to families.

The Adirondack Thunder, who will begin play in the 2015-16 season, relocated to Glens Falls from Stockton, CA. The team's logo has similarities to the brand that the Stockton Thunder have been known for in the ECHL for the past ten seasons, with eight playoff appearances, highlighted by a trip to the Kelly Cup Finals in 2013. The color scheme brought to the Glens Falls market by the AHL's Adirondack Flames this season, which falls in line with the Calgary Flames' palate at the NHL level, will remain nearly identical with the ECHL's Adirondack Thunder.

On January 30, 2015, the Thunder became Glens Falls' first ever team in the ECHL, following 26 seasons in the American Hockey League and seven seasons in the United Hockey League. The Thunder franchise will become the sixth professional hockey team to call Glens Falls home, joining the AHL’s Adirondack Red Wings, Adirondack Phantoms and Adirondack Flames, along with the UHL’s Adirondack Ice Hawks and Adirondack Frostbite.

Adirondack Flames playoff ticket packages are on sale now to Flames season ticket holders. For more information on all Flames and Thunder ticket packages, visit adirondackflames.com.
