Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Flames announced today that they have added forward Cam Reid on a Professional Try Out from the Reading Royals of the ECHL. The Flames also announced that they have signed defenseman Oleg Yevenko to an Amateur Try Out from the UMass-Amherst Minutemen.
This is the second trip this season to the AHL for Reid, a third year pro from Delta, British Columbia. In mid-February, Reid played in two games for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, where he recorded a goal and fourteen penalty minutes. Over the course of his career, Reid has played seventy AHL games with the Peoria Rivermen, Milwaukee Admirals, Lake Erie Monsters and Sound Tigers, where he has recorded 24 points (6-18-24). This season with Reading, Reid has racked up a team-best fifty-nine points (25-34-59) in fifty-nine games.
Yevenko, a native of Minsk, Belarus, has spent the past four seasons with UMass-Amherst of Hockey East. Yevenko appeared in 132 games in his tenure with the Minutemen, where he collected 10 points (1-9-10) from the blue line. An assistant captain with UMass-Amherst his senior season, the 24-year old was selected to play for his native Belarus as the 2014 IIHF World Championships, held in his home country. Yevenko amassed two assists and a +3 rating in eight games with Belarus, en route to a seventh place fbhinish.
