Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Flames announced today that have recalled defenseman Brett Kulak from the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL and assigned goaltender Doug Carr to Colorado.
Kulak, 21, began the 2014-15 season with Adirondack and recorded one point (1-0-1) over six games played. Kulak’s goal came against the Albany Devils on October 11, the first home goal in Adirondack Flames franchise history. The Stony Plain, ALTA native has collected 30 points (9-21-30) over 39 ECHL games with Colorado. Kulak made his professional debut on April 6, 2013 with the Abbotsford Heat and scored his first professional goal on April 13, 2014 against the Oklahoma City Barons.
Carr, 25, appeared in two games with Adirondack and recorded a 0-1-0-0 record, a .925 save percentage, along with a 2.30 goals against average. Carr made his professional debut last season with the Abbotsford Heat of the AHL. In two games with Abbotsford, Carr turned aside 49 of the 52 shots he faced, for a 1.92 goals against average and a .925 save percentage. The UMass-Lowell product has appeared in 20 games this season with the Eagles, where he amassed a 9-9-0 record, a .881 save percentage and a 2.77 goals against average.
Carr was signed by the Adirondack Flames on an American Hockey League Standard Players’ Contract (SPC) before the season.
