Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Flames announced today that they signed center Nathan Moon to a professional tryout agreement.
Moon, 24, has appeared in four ECHL contests with Evansville and Colorado this season and has collected five points (1-4-5). Moon was acquired by Colorado on Oct. 28 in a trade for defenseman Daniel Johnson.
The former Kingston Frontenac amassed 45 points (11-34-45) in 51 contests last season with Evansville, a year after he was named an ECHL All-Star with the Icemen. The Belleville, ONT native had 35 points (16-19-35) in 44 games in the 2012-13 season. Moon has also appeared in 86 career AHL contests with Worcester and Springfield and has collected 36 total points (14-22-36). The 5’11” center was originally a fourth round selection (120th overall) of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
