Glens Falls, NY – Adirondack Flames President Brian Petrovek announced today seven new home dates for the 2014-15 season. With the prior announcement of October 11th as the Flames’ home opener, the team has now unveiled eight of its 38 home dates for its inaugural season, seven of which are on Saturday nights.
“We’re excited to share seven new home game dates with our fans and provide two new ticketing options as we approach opening night on October 11th,” Petrovek said. “Our promotional sponsors are stepping up in a big way to make the game experience for our fans better than ever and we thank them for their generosity.”
Opening Night will mark the first game in Adirondack Flames franchise history and will include a commemorative coin sponsored by Team Ferior. The coin, given out to the first 2,000 fans in attendance, will be good for great discounts throughout the season, both at the Glens Falls Civic Center and throughout the greater Glens Falls community. The Flames will also give away a magnetic schedule to the first 2,500 fans in attendance, sponsored by Great Meadow Federal Credit Union. Additionally, Special Olympics New York will be in attendance for a parade of athletes.
Saturday, November 1st will kick off the Flames’ “Movember” campaign. The Movember Foundation is a global men’s health charity committed to changing the face of men’s health. The Movember initiative is prevalent throughout the hockey community and many players and staff members throughout the hockey world will grow mustaches for the month of November in support of men’s health.
The Flames will partner with U.A. Local Union 773 for their Military Appreciation Night and Salute to the Armed Forces on Saturday, November 22nd. Military Appreciation Night will feature special, military themed game jerseys, which will be auctioned off at the conclusion of the evening, in addition to in game events to honor our nation’s armed services.
The following weekend, Glens Falls Hospital will sponsor Youth Hockey Jersey Night on Saturday, November 29th, where the first 1,000 fans under the age of 14 will receive an Adirondack Flames youth jersey. The Flames will also hold their inaugural “Night of Champions” which honors local youth and high school teams that won fall championships.
The Flames will continue the Glens Falls tradition of a New Year’s Eve game on Wednesday, December 31st. The evening will include a special 5:00 p.m. puck drop as a start to New Years Eve festivities in Glens Falls. The evening will be capped off with an indoor fireworks display from Fireworks By Alonso at the conclusion of the game.
The Flames and Glens Falls Hospital will once again partner to hold “Pink in the Rink” night on Saturday, January 17th, which will feature the second themed jersey of the season. The Glens Falls Civic Center will be decked out in pink as
Glens Falls Hospital and the Flames join forces in the battle against breast cancer. Proceeds from the post game jersey auction will benefit C.R. Wood Cancer Center in Glens Falls.
In conjunction with USA Hockey’s Hockey Weekend Across America, the Flames will celebrate “Hockey Weekend Across the Adirondacks” on Saturday, February 28th. The Flames will honor the proud tradition of hockey in Glens Falls, while welcoming in the new age of the Adirondack Flames. The weekend begins on Friday the 27th, as everyone is encouraged to wear a hockey jersey to school or work during the day. Saturday the 28th, in addition to the game during the evening, is “Try Hockey Day”, where everyone is encouraged to learn more about playing the game. The weekend long event will also include a celebration of Glens Falls local hockey heroes. The weekend will be run in partnership with the Adirondack Youth Hockey Association. Specific details and a complete weekend schedule of events will be announced at a later date.
The eighth and final guaranteed date will be “Go Green” Night on Saturday, March 14th, which will combine the flair of St. Patrick’s Day with an environmentally conscious going green initiative. Further sponsorship and promotional information will be announced closer to the event.
Seven of the eight guaranteed dates are part of the new “Saturday Night is Hockey Night in Glens Falls” promotion, sponsored by Bud Light, for the 2014-15 season. “Saturday Night is Hockey Night in Glens Falls” will include pre, post and in game specials throughout the city of Glens Falls, as well as at the Civic Center during games.
The Flames are also unveiling two new ticket plans, Group Tickets and Flex Tickets, presented by Panera Bread, which will go on sale tomorrow, July 31st. Panera Bread offers any group or flex ticket holder a free coffee or soft drink with any purchase, redeemable with your group or flex ticket from the game. Group Tickets, which consist of parties of 15 or more, will range from $12 to $16 per ticket. Group Tickets are the perfect option for birthday parties, youth groups, companies and organizations of all ages and sizes looking for a discounted evening of fun. Flex Tickets will be sold in packs of 10 and will range from $11 to $18 per ticket. Group Tickets will be available in the Premium Gold, Gold, Silver and Youth price levels, while Flex Tickets can be purchased in Gold, Silver and Youth.
The Flames have also announced that individual game tickets for all 38 home games will go on sale October 1st, ten days prior to opening night. Advance and day of game prices for individual game tickets, in addition to ticket options for the Flames’ preseason exhibition game, will be announced at a later date.
